Glass: one AI employee on a live desk | Slim Software
Glass

Every other AI is a black box. We made ours Glass.

One AI employee for your business. Watch it work on a live desk, step in, and hand the work back. It runs in Private or Team mode.

The Glass app: top navigation with Canary, Assignments, Needs you, Files, Routines, Activity, Memory and Settings; a reply comparing three typefaces in a table with a recommendation; the composer with Private and Team; and a Recent files list.
The Glass app.

How it works

Work with your AI. See what it does.

Glass is a done-for-you hire. We set it up with you, it works on the files and tools you hand it, and you can see every step.

A real desk, not a chat log

Your employee works on an actual machine with a browser, files and tools. Glass is the window into it.

Watch it as it happens

Every click and decision is visible live. Nothing is reconstructed after the fact.

Step in when it counts

When a decision needs a person, it pauses, asks, and hands you the controls. Then you hand the work back.

What it does

The work, in the app you will use.

Ask in plain words and it does the job on its desk, then answers in the conversation. The screens below are Glass, shown with example data.

Computer use on a real desk.

It works in its own browser while you watch: signing in to a supplier portal, finding the order and choosing the earliest delivery slot. Each step is written into the conversation, and you can stop the work at any point.

The Glass desk. On the left, the agent's own browser on a supplier portal order page, its cursor clicking Confirm delivery for the Thursday slot. On the right, the conversation: your request and three progress steps.
A Glass reply in the conversation: revenue, new customers and refund rate tiles, a grouped bar chart of weekly organic and paid signups, and a table of signups and cost by channel.

Answers with charts and tables.

Ask how the month went and it replies with the figures, a chart and the table behind it. Switch between chart and table, or copy the rows as CSV or Markdown.

An email reply drafted by the agent in Glass, with recipients, subject, message and a PDF attachment filled in, and Send, Discard and Attach buttons. Below it: Nothing goes out until you press Send.

Email drafts you approve.

Ask it to chase a supplier and it drafts the reply on the right thread, with recipients, subject and attachment filled in. Edit it, discard it or send it. Nothing goes out until you press Send.

Glass on a phone: a morning check-in with revenue and refund rate tiles and an area chart of daily orders.

On your phone.

The same conversation fits a phone screen, figures and charts included, so you can check in and reply from wherever you are.

Before you ask

It works before you ask.

Set up routines on the Routines page and it does the work on a schedule. You choose what it can access.

Morning brief

Each morning it reads what came in, for example your connected work email, and tells you what needs you today.

Heads-up checks

It keeps an eye on what you point it at and stays quiet unless something needs you.

Weekly recap

Once a week it recaps what got done and what is still waiting on you.

Audio briefs and podcasts

It can turn a brief or a document into audio you can listen to, with playback speed control.

Voice

Call it, or let it talk you through the work.

Call your AI employee from the desk and talk it through, with live captions as you both speak. Or ask for a brief: what it did, what is waiting on you and what it recommends.

Voice brief transcript: Good morning. While you were away, I kept things moving. Your inbox is down to the three that actually need you. The Meridian contract came back overnight, and I have read it through and drafted two ways forward, with the one I would recommend flagged for you. Thursday's call is rebooked so it will not clash with the site visit, and the September numbers are reconciled to the penny. Nothing is on fire. Whenever you are ready, I will walk you through it.

A voice call in Glass: the orb, the line Aurora is listening, go ahead, a call timer, live captions of both speakers, and Mute and End the call buttons.

Private and Team

Your desk. The team desk.

We built Glass for the way teams work: a place to speak with the agent on your own, and a shared conversation where colleagues can work with it together.

Private

Your conversation with the agent.

Each person has their own conversation and their own desk for individual work. Switching to Team does not post that Private chat into the shared thread.

Team

One thread everyone can follow.

Members of the workspace can brief the agent, add context and follow its replies in the same conversation, on the team desk. The agent knows who is speaking.

A project lead can give the brief, a colleague can add detail, and both can follow the answers in one place. When a task needs browser or desktop work, you can watch the agent work and step in.
